Scout Projects for the Environment
Earth Day is the perfect time to teach kids about the things they can do to help the environment. Children want to feel that they make a difference. A better way to teach children about the impact of pollution is to have them do a “hands – on” activity that educates them and is fun.
That’s why I designed the Kids Kit To Save The Planet from Plastic Bags”. It’s an arts & crafts project along with an illustrated education booklet about the impact of plastic bags on the environment. It’s a great teaching aid because of the fun graphics in the story showing a tornado of plastic items.
The Kids Kit is a wonderful project for Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, and science teachers. Encourage your child to become a “green” kid!
Each kit contains 2 Organic Cotton, Fair-trade produced Shopping Bags. Along with that is the educational booklet about plastic and the impact on the environment. Fabric paint pens that have been assured not to be toxic (not from China) are all packed in a: NON-plastic bag! That bag is made from corn and is biodegradable.
